As Bozót mentioned in her blog earlier, the last few days have been days of Chocolate, days of Sweetness in the world: the chocolate gelt and the soufganiyot of us and the chocolate St. Nicholases of the Christians (and the atheists) all brought sweetness to our days. (Even if some of them were more shortening than chocolate!)
This time of the year is very special for children of Hashem: we celebrate the Light: the oil in the Temple that lasted 8 days so that the Temple could be rededicated; Christians celebrate the birth of the Babe of Bethlehem, who grew into the Man whoe tomb was empty–the Light of the World for many.
That quote is from a handmade card by my brother.
Also inspired by Bozót was my googling endeavor to find when Chocolate Day was. I found three: one in February, one in October and one in September. I am sure there are more if you dig deeper. Because chocolate needs more than one day!
